The Indian Maritime University is headquartered at Chennai and the new HQ building is being built at 300 acres land allotted to IMU at Semmancherry which lies between East Coast Road and Old Mahabalipuram Road (Rajiv Gandhi Salai). The IMU has its regional campuses at Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam and Cochin. IMU presently offers Diploma, Degree, Postgraduate Diploma and Post Graduate Degree courses in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Ship Building & Repair, Maritime Management, Doctoral Programmes at Visakhapatnam Campus and Post Sea Courses.

Indian Maritime University Entrance Exam 2018
About the Exam:
IMU CET 2018 – The Indian Maritime University will conduct IMU CET 2018 entrance exam for various undergraduate engineering programmes for the maritime sector in an online mode. The application form of IMU CET 2018 will be available tentatively in the last week of March 2018 and candidates can register for it till second week of May 2018. Candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria of IMU CET 2018 before they start filling the IMU CET 2018 application form.

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2018
If candidates have to apply for the IMU CET 2018, they have to check their eligibility first and then proceed to further process. Here, we are mentioning the IMU CET eligibility criteria:
Age Criteria:
- Age Limit: The minimum age should be 17 years and maximum age should be 25 years on or before 1st August 2018.
- Relaxation: There is relaxation of 5 years for reserved category candidates.
- Martial Status: Only unmarried candidates can apply for this exam.
IMU CET 2018 Application form

- Candidates can fill the IMU CET 2018 application form through online mode from the website.
- The application form will be available from the 1st week of April 2018 till 2nd week of May 2018.
- Candidates have to upload their scanned photograph, signature, 10th Mark sheet photocopy & category certificate (SC/ST).
- Candidates should download and print filled-in application in standard format.
- After the successful submission of the application form, automated e-mails/SMS will be sent to the candidates.

IMU CET Exam Centre 2018
The list of cities where IMU CET 2018 exam will take place is given below in the table. The IMU CET 2018 will take place in one shift from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m tentatively in the last week of May 2018. Candidates will have the option to choose three cities where they wish to take the IMU CET 2018 exam.

IMU CET 2018 Exam pattern
The exam pattern of IMU CET 2018 comprises of 200 multiple choice questions to be answered in three hours. There will be no negative marking for any incorrect answer.
Questions will be asked from English, General Aptitude, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics of 10+2 level.

IMU CET Syllabus 2018
The IMU CET 2018 syllabus is different for UG & PG programmes. Candidates, check below the syllabus for UG & PG courses:
For UG Programmes:
The syllabus of UG courses will be comprised of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Aptitude Test & General Knowledge. The syllabus is based on plus 2 levels (CBSE, ISE & State Boards).
For PG Programmes:
The syllabus of PG course consists of MBA & M.Tech Syllabus:
For MBA: The syllabus of an MBA programme is as follows: Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
For M.Tech: The syllabus for M.Tech Course is as follows: Mathematics General, Engineering, General Knowledge, English and Aptitude.
IMU CET 2018 Admit Card
Candidates will get their admit card through online mode. The exam conducting authority will also inform the registered candidates through SMS or email for uploading of hall ticket. Candidates can access the IMU CET hall ticket from our website. The admit card will be issued from 3rd week of May 2018. The admit card contain details of the candidate such as Name, Category, Gender, exam center venue, date & time of the examination, etc.
IMU CET Result 2018
The category wise result of IMU CET 2018 will be declared in the last week of May 2018. Candidates will be informed about the IMU CET 2018 result through SMS and email. The result of IMU CET 2018 will be valid only for that particular academic session.
IMU CET 2018 Counselling
After the declaration of the result, shortlisted candidates have to register for counselling procedure. The online counselling registration will be started from the 2nd week of June 2018. The online counselling will be limited for admission into IMU campuses only. The affiliated institutions will not be included in the online counselling process. Candidates, those qualified the IMU CET 2018 exam may approach the Institution directly. The counselling procedure will consist of document verification, physical fitness clearance, etc. Through the counselling process, the seat will be allotted to the candidates.
