The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) calculates the cut-off for 200 marks as follows:

Formula:
Each of the 4 eligible HSC subjects (Maths / Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and one eligible subject) is converted to 50 marks.

Cut-Off = (Subject 1 × 50 / Max Marks) + (Subject 2 × 50 / Max Marks) + (Subject 3 × 50 / Max Marks) + (Subject 4 × 50 / Max Marks)

Total = Out of 200 marks

Example:

SubjectHSC MarksConverted Marks (out of 50)
Mathematics90/10045.00
Physics94/10047.00
Chemistry80/10040.00
Biology70/10035.00
Total Cut-Off (200)167.00 / 200

TNAU Tie-break Rule:
1️⃣ Maths (or Biology) higher mark
2️⃣ Physics mark
3️⃣ Chemistry mark
4️⃣ Date of Birth (elder gets priority)

In Tamil:
As per TNAU cut-off system, each subject will be converted into 50 marks. The aggregate will be calculated out of 200 marks
of the total of four subjects . If the marks are equal – Mathematics/Biology → Physics → Chemistry → Priority will be given based on date of birth.
